generic 3-page RFE

Well, friends, here is it, the famous three-page thing, contending that I have to submit additional evidence on all counts, a letter that looks like all-inclusive guidelines to compling an NIW case.

Just one cute example:

"Submit evidence which clearly demonstrates that you are onw of the foremost leading authorities within your field and that your personal performance has/will SUBSTANTIALLY influence, above and beyond that of any other programmer/analyst."

- Hah? so then, four member of the National Academy stating just that - are not authoritative enough or what?
- I am a physicist, and not a programmer, nor analyst.

This RFE is generic, is not it? It seems that not many people are getting this kind of RFE, am I right?
What is your opinion? The question is:
Should I try to answer this RFE myself ? The thing is, I devised my petition specifically to address all the prongs of NIW, and now that they are ALL relisted in the RFE, should I give up and take my case to the lawyer?

--------------
PhD in physics.
Post-doc in a government lab.
15 publications, in very good / excellent journals,
first author of most of them.
about 50 citations.
8 recommendations, about half from independent experts.

I believe the whole NIW thing has gone haywire. It use to be third prong of the three prong approach. Now looks like anything goes. They even convert physicists into programmers!!

We are in the same boat

Hi Leto,
I do not have to read all of your RFE. The one you listed is exactly as mine.
I guess you also got 10 questions. It is so bad for us. I guess the immigration
officer did not even read our case, the RFE was ready there to send to us.
If you like to check your officer, I guess, it should be NSC/NQK EX380.
Definitely you can argue, but the final decision is not in our hands. so , If
you do not want to give up, do what you can do again, collect more
reference letters and citations, papers etc... , It is nightmare to do it again.
Good luck and God bless us.

Same here. Three pages of RFE. Mine is NSC/DJN EX461. I should have tried NIW.

I got a generic RFE from CSC for eb-1b. My lawyer said they saw the exact same RFE several days ago. It asked for everything, just no specific at all. Is it very bad? My lawyer said it is just average.
