Hi,

A friend of mine is planning to send his H1 for revalidation. As Passport and original H1 document needs to be sent, I would like to know what are the general safety measures people take other than sending the documents through a certified mail?

Does people keep any certified copy of the passport papers/I-797? If so, what is the procedure?

---- Keep the copy of passport,I-94(both the sides) and H1 approval, fee check with you and use FedEx
Does people keep any certified copy of the passport papers/I-797? If so, what is the procedure?
--- Certified copy is not needed just keep the copy of each document with you or the package that you are going to send for your records
