I am working with X in H1B Visa, Can I file my Green Card with Y? Upto wht stage we can go with Y without working for him? I heard that while filing I140 we need to submitt Paystub's and W2 for Y company. Is it so? Pl post ur views.

You can. You should not need to work for Y until your EAD is approved.

BTW, many ppl are looking for company Y :), is it something personal or would they help out other ppl stuck in LC line too?
