Hi, all,

My GC came with an error on my last name. I sent it back to Vermont Service Center with an I-90D form and supporting document on March 9th, 2007. to date, I have not heard anything from the VCS, neither receipt letter nor returning. The delivery confirmation confirmed the delivery. I am getting frustrated. Does any one could provide some information or experience regarding this kind of case and how long it could takes with the VSC? As no receipt available, I even can not track the processing status of the case.

Thanks you very much.

If you send the I-90 (D) to service center I have seen that they don’t send I-90 filing receipts. It is not only problem with you it is problem with many. People send the I-90D to service center with CARD and supporting documents and they don’t touch the application and don’t send the receipt. If person does not have valid stamp in passport one can’t travel and without I-90 filing receipt local USCIS office does not stamp the passport. Service center take 6 months for this kind of case.

1. What you can do is go to your congressman/senator local office and seek help. Provide your full details like name, A#, approval notice receipt #, DOB, the date you sent I-90 to VSC and the problem on your Card.
2. Write a letter to USCIS Ombudsman with all the details, send letter and also email. Read the below links:

thanks for your information and suggestion. my card was issued by NSC, i did not know if i could send it to NBC for correction? now it is too late, have you ever heard any exception that the service center could correct an error card sooner than six months? thanks.

---------------if I-485 was approved by NSC you cant send it to NBC, you need to send to NSC

-----------------service center takes arount 6 months. I have read only one post and poster said he got Card corrected by VSC in 1 month. I dont know if that info was correct or incorrect
thanks.

Thanks again. i will wait for another few weeks before asking congressman involved.

another question: what does LUD stand for?

i will keep my I90D status updated here.

------------- wait for 2 weeks then involve congressman office. keep the copy of every document you send to service center.
another question: what does LUD stand for?
-------------- Last update from USCIS if you check online status or if you have registred with USCIS then you can check LUD , but you will need Reciept # to check the last update
i will keep my I90D status updated here.

Thanks for the info.

Did you send 2 Photographs with I-90D?
Did you sent I-90 and documents with normal post and return receipt or sent it through FedEx?

It seems that after approving your I-485 the VSC did not send you file to National Record Center and file may be still with them because if they send the file to National record center then they have to request the file from National record center and it takes 20-30 days to reach the file to service center or local office.
It is the first post that I-90D has been approved in 2 months by service center.
Good Luck!!!

---No photos were sent, i just follow the check list in I-90 Form, photo is not required. i send by priority mail with delivery confirmation.
