Could someone shed light on the effects of a expectant mother (GC Holder) applying for WIC benefits thru the local county health dept?

(WIC is the program that offers limited assistance for expecting mothers before delivery and mother & child after delivery)

Has anyone in this forum availed this benefit? Any help appreciated.

For deportation purpose, WIC (Women, Infant, Children) beneficiary
is not considered public charge because it is not cash-based
but may be it is still public assistances.

But if you apply for it on behalf of the child (who is US citizen),
I don't see anything wrong with it assuming you are
qualified otherwise).
