GC to sponsor F1

I am a GC holder and got married to an F1 student.. Can I file I-134 and be my wife's sposor? She's currently doing her OPT and is planning to go back to school next year to do her Masters.

She's saying that everything will be taken care by the school's internation office. I am not so sure because they will mail my "affidavit of support" to INS which says I am her spouse...

Will this be a problem? Can any of our documents be rejected based on this fact?

No problem. Your I 134 will be accepted provided you have sufficient fund.
Some time INS ask for atleast 3 consecutive month bank statement to verify your financial soundness.

If you could produce those documents you are fine.


Infact for going to another school, school will issue I 20 without verifying your financial status some times
