GC through marriage for Canadian - PLEASE HELP A Canadian male, M, married an American female, F, in June 2002 in Canada.
The female, F, went back to Califonia in Sept. 2003 to get a job while M filed for his K3 visa.
M finally got his K3 visa in Oct. 2004 and went to the U.S.
There were problems with M and F and F met someone else and filed for divorce in Dec. 2004.
M signed the divorce papers, (after been married for 2 and a half years).
Here is the problem.
Can M still get the green card considering that the divorce has been filed?
M is still waiting for the DS-230 papers,(because M and F married in Canada) to file and send back for the final interview in approx. 4 months.
At the final interview, if M and F say the divorce is going through but F is still willing to sponser M, can M still get his green card.
Do they go to the home or do you go to an office for the final interview?
What are the best options for M?
Sincerely,
Oh Canada
