Hey everyone, I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with some of the issues regarding I485 emplyoment-based GC. I have a friend (I know it sounds lame, but it is the truth, I am researching for her now) who just got the I140 approved. For some reason she did not file at the same time the I485. She's really confused if she could file now for I 485 or she should wait for the priority date. For those who already experienced with this immigration process or have an idea, what she could do at this point? She started the process of I140 in Sept. '05. Can someone please explain me the process of GC through employment after I140 is approved. Thanks, appreciate any answers.

You can file for 485 as long as your Priority date is current..check the visa bulletin for current priority dates.

Now she can not, If she did it concurrently in 05 it could work.
