GC stamping issues NYC

** employment letter,
** job description,
** 1 yr tax return

I had used AC21 to change job after 1 year, so sent the letter from the new employer

Attorney received the original on 04 APR 2003
Recieved the courtsey copy of my approval on 06 APR 2003

I went for passport stamping in New York, gave my ead, I-94 and 2 photos,adv. parole,
I got my passport in 1996 in New York so the validity of my passport is 20 years.
During the stamping they said they have never seen a Indian passport valid
for 20 years so we wont stamp in the passport. Then they produced a card similar to I-94
and stamped on it which is valid for 1 year and said you can travel using this.

did they ask for photo

Hey zimba,

this is interesting info...did they ask you for any extra photo for that extra card they used? I mean, did they just stamp on that card, or did they attach a picture on that card?

Yes I had to give another photo for the card so they attached it to the card and stamped it.

better to carry more pics

so guys, it seems its good to carry an extra set of photos with you. I heard they ask you to come with 2 photos only, but better to carry 3 or 4.
