GC Stamping in Detroit - Urgent

My 485 application got approved last week. Now I am trying to seek an infopass appointment but all the dates are after 7-10 days. Most probably I'll have to travel outside the country this week.
Does anyone know if there are certain days in a week that you can walk into teh Detroit INS office and get the stamping done without having a prior appointment?
In other words is the appointment through infopass a must?
