Guys,No approval notice received yet.But just received my GC today.Backdated 1 year (09/15/2004)
Questions:
1-I got my RTD last month before I got approved.So I need to get a Re-entry permit to travel in December.What I'm gonna do?-Surrender the RTD and just ask for the Re-entry Permit?
2-My GC says ;Resident since 09/15/2004,card expire 09/15/2015.Is now 11 year of validity instead of 10? _ They changed the rule?

1. No you do not need to surrender the RTD. Just make sure that you have your shiny card in handy when you re-enter u.s. When the officer looks at your RTD and sees "asylee", he will get pissed but you show your G.C And let him know you got the GC after..IT should be ok then. YOU do not need to pay another 165 in the USCIS bank for no reason eh?

2. Your card was created in 2005..the backdated issue is different so you are ok..by 2015, you will be an old man/woman and be a U.S Citizen, you do not need to worry my friend.

Thank you so much my man Wantmygcnow for your repply.I'm really postive that you're gonna get approved this week by Friday ,since we have the same RFE date(08/30/2005) and you mailed it just one day after mine.
