GC received. Never filed AC21. Will that be a problem at POE?

Hello:

My sponsoring company laid me off a month after they filed I-485. However, they did not withdraw the application. I took up a new job with same title and same duties and my GC got approved last week. However, I never filed AC21.

When I go to my home country for a vacation (say after 6 months) and when I am coming back, what if they ask me if I am working for the same employer or not. If I say 'no', will it create any problems at the POE?

Gurus...please advice!

---------------------- At POE I dont see any problems. they only ask" how many days you were out of US" and "what you do"
