I have few questions related to US Green Card. Can any one provide any useful information?

1. I came with my wife & daughter on Immigration
visa on 20th April to US from India. If i want to go
back to India in june with out getting my Green Card, will that be a problem to keep my Green Card?.

2. What should I do to apply for 2 yrs permission and when should I apply? 3. How many weeks will it take to receive the physical Green Card?

Thanks,
amar

----- no problem if you have your passport stamped, you need to be back before the stamp expires
2. What should I do to apply for 2 yrs permission and when should I apply?
----- that is REENTRY Permit, you need to file form I-131, 2 photographs, fees, copy of your passport with page that has stamp on it and send it to NSC, you need to be IN US when you file the Reentry permit, file the I-131 and you can give your US address and they will send it to US address and then your relative can send it to you in India OR on form you can give US consulate address and once it is approved it will be sent to US consulate and you can collect from US consulate. read the instruction for form I-131 or reentry permit
3. How many weeks will it take to receive the physical Green Card?
-------- it depends on service center. 2-3 months
Thanks,
amar

Thanks for your reply.
I do have another question. Do I need to wait for physical Green Card to apply for Reentry permit(I131) or can I apply without receiving the physical Green Card since I need to go back soon.

Thanks,
Amar

No, you can apply even if you haven't received your physical green card yet. You will have to submit, as your initial evidence, a copy of the biographic page(s) of your passport and a copy of the visa page showing your initial admission as a permanent resident, or other evidence that you are a permanent resident. For more information on re-entry permit, you can go here.
