GC interview without EAD while worked and filed Taxes

My wife is a US citizen who had filed for my AOS. Finally my interview date has arrived. My question is that do the examiner, during the interview, asks for EAD before stamping the passport. What happens if you never had EAD but worked and filed taxes. My case was filed under 245i.
Please advise.

Nothing. Since your wife is a US citizen you are forgiven past immigration sins. Why did you waste the $1000 filing under 245i?
