My Pd is current this month (April 2011). What next - Should I call USCIS customer service center, open a service request and tell them my PD is current or wait few days?

I have also field my wife as a derivative to my application and sent out all the necessary paper work and it reached them on 1st april.

When can I expect my wife GC?

After receiving Green Card when can we change employer ( Do I need to wait till my wife receive GC ?). Is there any specific time period?

----- When they approve your I-485 they also approve the derivative I-485.

--You should work with employer who filed your GC for 5-6 months After I-485 approval OR get fired. Your wife GC is depending on your I-485 approval and she can work with any employer after she gets GC in hand

When did you file your own I-485? It will take a few months to process, so you can't expect it to be approved this month if you filed it a few days ago. But if you filed it last year or earlier and your I-140 is approved, your green card might be approved this month or next month.

When can I expect my wife GC?

3-6 months from now, if there is no retrogression and yours is approved within that time frame.

You don't need to wait until your wife gets her GC, but try not to leave within a week or two.

Ginnu - I was not clear on my first message. I filed my GC from company A and filed AC21 from company B. Waiting for my GC to get approved. Should I still wait for 5-6 months to change employer after GC?
----- once your I-485 gets approved or get GC then work with employer B for 5-6 months. Your I-485 will be approved on the base of same/similar job offer letter of employer B. GC is for future job if you leave B next day after I-485 approval or after next day of getting GC don't you think it is Fraud in your Part?. to be safe work with B for 5-6 months after getting GC . If the employer B does not have job for you and is ready to give you a letter that they dont have job for you then keep that letter with you so that at the time of citizenship you can provide the info if they ask why did you left the employer B next day after you got GC.

------------- if you want to join C then join C Now and update USCIS now with employer C job offer letter and invoke AC21 with company C letter BEFORE your I-485 gets approved. Keep the copy of each document that you send to USCIS. FYI if your GC gets approved on the job offer letter of C then you must work with C after your I-485 gets approved (minimum 5-6 months)
