GC Holder working in Canada

I have been a GC holder for more than 6 years now and, if things go as expected, I should become a US citizen in 3-4 months.
I have an opportunity to work in Canada as a consultant, in which case I would be travelling between the US and Canada every 2-3 weeks or so.
Are there any precautions I should take before signing up for this? I don't want to jeopardize my GC, nor my naturalization application.

How long is the consulting job expected to last, and what percentage of the time will you be inside the US? If it is more than a year, and you would be spending more time outside the US than inside, they may rule that you have broken continuous residence for naturalization purposes.

It is a 6 month contract and I would be inside of the US 20% of the time.
