GC holder visiting Canada and Canadian PR pending: Please Help!!

Dear All,

I got my GC in September 2006, however, just before that out of frustration I applied for Canadian PR also in June 2006, which is still pending.

I will be going to Canada in March for a business trip and will be coming back in three days.

My question is, does a pending Canadian PR application create problem in entering Canada and entering US (more important). Is there anyway the US border officials know that one has applied for Canadian PR?

By the way I plan to withdraw my Canadian PR application.

Could someone please clarify?

-- No to both..Even if they do, they will not be able to do anything. You are a PR of USA and your cdn PR is not approved yet.

Can you tell me what type of background check you did for during your application for Canadian PR? Is it a state background OR FBI? I want to start the process.

by the way - why do you want to withdraw your application?
