GC Holder requires GC+Passport to visit Canada?

Hi all, I am a GC holder. I am aware that the GC is sufficient to visit Canada. But would anyone recommend having the passport as well ? Or is the GC card sufficient?
Wondering bcoz of higher security measures nowadays.

GC sufficient

I am replying to my own post as no one else had! I just returned after a visit to canada and all I needed was my GC. No one asked for my passport although I had it with me just in case.
Just wanted to let ppl know this.

Where did you apply for the temporary visa? at the port of entry? did they ask for any proof for your reason of visit?
