Please Help! GC holder re-entry to US after 1yr
Our family has been living/vacationing in Japan for 12 months (we arrived here in Japan on 11/10/2005) and now we want to return to the U.S.A. on December 4th (almost 13 months). The issue is that my wife is a green card holder and we did not know that we had to get a re-entry permit before we left. How can we get back into the U.S.A.? Can she just use her Japanese passport? Will they take her green card if we go back without a re-entry permit? Any advice or help would be appreciated and I apologize if this has been asked before, I did try to search for a similar question but did not find one. Thank you!!!
