All,

I am a permanent resident of the US. My would-be wife is on an F1 status. We are geting married soon. Are there any issues if I apply for her permanent residency (I-130 & then 485) if she is on F1?

If someone, who has gone through a similar situation or knows the intricacies of the scenario, can reply back, it would be much appreciated. Thank so much!

I am a GC holder and planning to get married to a girl H1b visa. Since you are in similar situation I am asking this question. How do I sponsor her green card. Can I file I-485, will she receive an EAD, when I file for her GC. Can you advise.

Thanks
Matador

As a GC gholder. You can't apply for your wife's permanent residenct right away. This topic has been discussed extensively on this forum. I recommend you use the "search" funciton. I'm sure you will find numerous posts from people in a similar situation.
