GC for parents

Hi everyone,

I am a Indian citizen and GC holder.
I should be getting US citizenship in 2 years.
I want to sponsor my parent's for GC.

I have a question.

Should I file for their GC right now or should I wait till I become a US citizen ?

Any advantages / disadvantages of sponsoring GC for parents as a GC holder v/s citizen ??

I would appreciate any and all responces.
