GC for parents (on another state)

Hello to all! this is my very first post here :) lots of great information here. I'm not sure if this question has been answered before but i'm currently a US citizen applying for a GC for both of my parents that are already in the US. Thing is I live in DENVER and they live in Georgia...if I apply for them will I have to travel over there for the interview?? or will they have to come here?? also..I have read that if they are not married it makes a difference, what if they got married in their native country? does it count? Thank you so much !!
 
They're adults and aren't expected or required to live with you. And you don't have to be at the interview with them. Just file the paperwork, listing your Denver address where it asks for your address, and their Georgia address where the forms ask for their address, and they'll do the fingerprinting and interview in Georgia.

If they're married, particularly if they got married when you were a child or before you were born, it makes things easier for your father. Without their marriage you'll need other evidence of paternity. Marriage in any country counts, as long as it's officially recognized by the government of the country where it took place.
