Dear forum members,

I'd like to share the good news with you:

I checked my online case status early this morning and lo and
behold the approval message showed!

Receipt Number: wac02064xxxxx

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On April 16, 2004, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I have mixed emotions, on the one hand I am overjoyed, but I feel numb due to such a long and tortuous wait...

Anyways, I posted as early as possible to share the news.

I hope all of you WAC02'ers get yours as well....

Phoenix Saint.

Thanks all, I know we all deserve it.

I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for helping each other and sticking together in our journey. I also did what I could in my small way to help myself and our situation ... I'd signed up on petitions, the lawsuit, etc wherever to voice our situation. But I think just frequenting this site and posting comments whatever that may be is helping oneself and also a contribution to this forum in and of itself.

Thanks to Rajiv Khanna for this wonderful site and all that he's done and is doing to help people immigrating here. We should all support this great effort.

I think we have a wonderful community here and we should continue to cooperate and help each other beyond getting our GCs. Everyone can do whatever they can in their small way to help to create a fairer immigration system and increase the strength of our voice, and help others going through the same process that we did.

I pray for all others who have not gotten their GC for a speedy
approval. There's hope.

Cheers.

Dear forum members,

I'd like to inform you that we (wife and I) got our I-485 approval
letters in the mail yesterday (April 22)!

We're planning to go get our stamping early next week. It's a bit of a bummer since our daughter still has not got hers (I got an RFE for EVL, W-2s, she got medical re-exam for complete adult exam). It would have been nice to go altogether.

People,

My daughter's online case status turned to:

On April 22, 2004, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 730 and 730 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

just now. She had had an RFE for a complete medical exam.

It took me and my wife's approval 4 days after they received the
RFE response. I wonder if the same will be true for my daughter.
It did take INS around 7 days to mail the approval form to us, so we will probably go get our passport stamping first and when our daughter's approval letter comes we will take her then.

What do you guys think?

My daughter's online case status changed from RFE response received to ".. an approval notice has been mailed. ...." last night.
The approval date was April 26, 2004. So it took 4 days from RFE recv'd to approval just as it did for me and my wife.

Next step is to take daughter for her passport stamping when the approval notice comes...

It looks like CIS is finally moving their lazy butt!

Cheers.

My daughter's approval notice was received yesterday. We got the courtesy copy, lawyer informed me they got the original notices as well.

Planning to have my daughter take her photos over the weekend and go for passport stamping early next week.

Will post stamping experience in the "stamping in Phoenix" thread.

Cheers.
