GC Despo, i just wanted to share with you the email i got from
chennai.. i\'ve asked their advice on how to proceed after company
restructuring. here is the response in brief: surprisingly no
mention of amended I140.

submit following at the time of interview.
- Proof of Name change and partnership
  (eg: press release or any other relevant documents)
- Proof of current Employment
  (eg: job verification letter and pay stubs)
- Proof of previous employment
  (eg: job letter and pay stubs)
- Job offer letter from XYZ Operating LP
  (eg: also job letter and pay stubs required)

Hi Friend,
My interview is on Mar 27th. My company name changed from Jan1st of this year. Only the name changed, nothing else.

My lawyer has given me a document from the secretary of state, mentioning that the company name has changed from A to B. He says this is enough. Also, my employer is going to give me the employer letter, mentioning the present company name and the old company name.

I hope this is enough. Could you provide your thoughts in here?

I am checking this site now, its around 10.30 PM in Chennai.
That is so releiving!! Got done with Lister today, will go
to Dr. V tomorrow morning.
I have the emp letter with all the name change details
and also copies of what the attorney sent for the I-140 amendment.

anyway to give more details about my email to chennai:
I sent them in detail about my company restructuring,
how it created 2 subsidiaries and how they (2 subsidiaries)
formed a partnership and all the assests including employees
to the partnership. this partnership has a new fed id.
their response is quite encouraging and i thought i\'d share
it with you.

I am in the same situation:

1) I 140 approved October 21 2001
2) Company name change registered October 2 2001

I would like to know what documents are needed.
I Just have the Name change document and the Press News Article that was released in April 2001.

Are these enough?
People are talking about an ammended I140, which my attorney had not done. Can you please post your suggestions. Also, if you can email chennai\'s reply to me, that would be great. My email id is: sridharc@hotmail.com.

Thanks for the email, i hvent checked this site for the last two
days, have my interview tomorrow. will keep you posted.
 
Bingo!!

Before i realized what was happening it was over!
It was a desi guy, asked wether i had any proof
showed him some press releases and news articles
from web sites, he went over them for a couple of
minutes and thats it!.
