GC correction and traveling to India

I got my green card 3 months ago and the gender was incorrect. I sent my greencard for correction last month and got a receipt and the receipt mentioned the processing time between 3-4 months.

I need to go India next month. What is the process to go and come back without the physical card? GC stamping on my password already expired.

Any info is appreciated.

Which Service Center was it sent to? Based on my experience with CSC, it took about 8 weeks after the receipt to get an email message that the card order was completed and mailed to us. I hope this helps. Let me know if u need further info :)

If you have passport stamped you can go out if not go to local USCIS office with I-90 filing receipt and get passport stamped
