GC based on Marriage to a US citizen

I'd like to sponsor green card for my spouse based on marriage.
She already has her 485 filed based on employment.
Do we have to start all over with a new application or is there a way to change her existing 485 to be based on marriage.

Any help is appreciated.

i filed a new one. We put the A# from the employment based petition.We had an approved i-130 though. there are posts from another person called vanlily or something that we used as our reference
 
You need to start all over again. Except family based GC for spouses of USC are a lot faster than any employment based GC. There is no way of changing the process...
 
You don't need to fill a new family-based petition, but take into consideration that family-based petitions are usually processed faster than employment-based petition.

I would fill a new one.
 
It just depends on where your spouse's i485 is. If PD is current, I don't see the reason to file IR based GC as you have to spend extra money to file I130/485/etc, and plus EB may not require interview.
if s/he got stuck in EB retrogression, file IR based GC to get it fast.
