Hello Folks,

It’s been crazy 3 weeks with so much of stuff going on for me and I am extremely sorry that I could post this information earlier. First good news is that we had a baby boy born 2 weeks back. He is fine. The next good news is that my GC has been approved and I got my cards on 30th of July.

Thanks to everyone in this forum for all the help and information they have provided.

The above is the reason why I was away for more than 3 weeks from the forums. Every time someone's GC gets approved, I tell them to party hard after they receive the GC. Long time back, I too was planning to do the same. But with too much things going on I have to wait for sometime before I party.

Getting the GC did not give me that much feeling at all (I thought I would be ecstatic). I think holding my son for the first time was the best feeling I had till date and nothing can beat it.

I have my good friends here and I thank all of you for the help given and wish you all the best in your case.

Congrats!!!
Nothing more important than both baby and mom are doing fine. An un-expected GC just lighten up further.

mysticbeach.. Yes, I think he did bring me luck. Could change my handle but then I have got so used to this handle. Maybe the right handle would be GCVARUMAI(Translation:GC poverty) when there are so many folks out there who have not got their GC's and are struggling to get one after waiting for so long.

I once in a while, I feel a hollowness (or emptiness?) once something that I have waited for long has just been achieved.

My hearty congratulations to the whole family. Even people who know you and around you are probably so relieved.

Nothing can bring more joy than a new baby in the family - NO.... not even a GC.
