Hi Guys. My case has been approved on Sept 11th. INS had generated an RFE on Aug 5th for My H1/ daughters H4 and standard paystubs and stuff. RFE response was received by INS on Aug 28th. and approved on Spet 11th...:);) :D

What do you mean b RFE on H1, did they ask for another copy of the I-94 card. Can you please clarify.

Answer to RPC question

My H1 had expired two days before the filling of my 485. Although I had filed the renewal a couple of days before that, had not received the receipt notice by then, so had not informed INS about the renewal at the time of filling. INS wanted to make sure the renewal was there, although, for all practical purposes, we did not need a renewal because the status was valid based on the 485 filling. And they also wanted to see the H4 approval for my daughter - wierd.
But at least better sense prevailed in the end and they approved it finally.

Did you get your H1 extension approved? I also applied for extension one month before my 485 filing. I got my EAD but my extension is still pending! Thanks,

Yes my H1 did get approved along with the H4's for my wife and daughter. EAD and Parole were received almost along the time when the H1 was approved. However last year the EAD /Parole were taking a long time,

Timelines..
H1 renewal filed in last week of July 01.
485 filed in August 6 01
H1 approved in Nov 2001
EAD / Parole received in Nov 2001/ Dec 2001.

so the timing coincided with the H1 approval. Otherwise for all practical purposes these are two separate queues. So you should not try to relate the approvals between the two.

My RFE was generated on 8/5 and received by my attorney on 8/16/02. RFE response was received back by INS on 8/28 and case approved on 9/11. I still havenot received the approval notice.
