I've been reading this forum from past several months & got a lot of valuable information from its members.Thanks to you guys first.
Now coming to my GC journey:
Applied for GC in March of 2002 in EB2 category at VSC.
Got approval in January 2005 after replying to query.
Filed concurrently I140 & I485 in Feb 2005
Did FP in April 2005
Had a query on I140 after replying got approval in May 2005.
Then was hit with retrogression in Oct 2005.
My PD became current in March 2006.
From that time repeatedly made queries to USCIS as to know why the file is pending. We got the letter that mine & spouse's case has been pending 'coz "Background Check".
We never had any LUD's on our I485.
Then in March 2007, our files were tranferred from VSC to TSC.
Did FP in May 2007.
Raised SR in June again got the same reply:"Background Check Pending".
Did write to local senator in Aug., never got any reply from him.
Then today when checked the online status it had been changed to
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On November 1, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Never received any e-mails yet.
Our journey indeed had been very long.
All I can say is hang in there to old timers & will pray for ur GCs as well.
