GC approved, need to travel to Canada next week..

Dear friends,

My I-485 was approved on Jun/22/07. I need to travel to Canada on Jun/29/07. So far I had used Canadian visitor visa to get into the country and Advance Parole to get back into the US.

My question here is can I go to the local office at Detroit and get a I-551 stamp on my passport? Also, if any of you guys (new approvals) received your plastic card, can you please post the time line i.e how long did it take for you guys to receive the card since the approval date.

take infopass go to local USCIS office and get the passport stamped. Card may take 4-8 weeks after I-485 approval notice
