Gc Approved At Last
On Nov 14th 10.00 AM, We received the " Card production Ordered" E mail for
all three of us and today at 10.30 AM, received another e mail "Welcome new permanent resident".
It is a great relief that my painful GC Journey is ending on a happy note. During this process, USCIS had put me under severe stress at different points of time. In May 2006, all my petitions (I 140, 485, 765, 131 were denied because the I 140 petition was denied for an unknown employer related reason. MTR was opened and 140 was approved in July 2006 and I 485 was reopened for all of us.
In December 2006, I made a service request to expedite the case,. That time I came to know about the FBI name check process and I was stuck in that.
I took an info pass in July 2007and found that I am stuck in name check since May 2005.
Again, this September 2007, my lawyer initiated a service request and we got a reply on Oct 24th, that I am still stuck in FBI check. I lost all hope of getting the approval sooner but taken by surprise when I saw the mails.
My case was transferred from Vermont to Texas and my last LUD was March 15, 2007. The next LUD was Nov 14th .
My assumption is USCIS is approving cases that are stuck in FBI check for a long time. I hope and wish all the FBI name check sufferers and all other long timers will get approved pretty soon.
