GC APPROVED after 8 Years!

Dear Friends -

I am a regular visitor of this forum for the last 6 years. It has been a very big pain for me in the last few yrs. Most of my frineds (who came to US with me)got their card 3-4 yrs back and even some of them have Citizenship.

Today @ 5:30 PM is my day!!! After waiting for ~8 years in the GC process I finally received the 485 approval email.

My Story/History:

Came to US in 1998 Beginning.

LC in 02/2000 (EB3)

I140 - 2002

1-485 - 2003 Sep (Yes, it was 2003)

Received EAD every year since 2003 Dec. I got about 6 EAD's. Filed the 7th one 2 weeks back.

AP - 6 times got it.

FP - 3 times.

Spent - 2k for private consultations.

Finally got the 485 approval today for myself and my wife. Hopefully we should get the card soon.

I pray god for Everyone to get their approval soon.

Congratulations Bellevue, u deserve it. 8 years is too long.... I am already feeling that after 6 years. Most of my friends who cam with me might eligible for citizenship by the time I get mine. Thats way of life... no cribbing.

I am now hoping to get approved as my PD and 485 RD are in the same range.

So far 5 EADs.

About to apply for 6th and 2nd AP( I did not apply for AP as I was not planning to travel).

This is definitly a good sign for me..

Pray for me guys...
 
Administrative review

I would really appreciate if someone could provide me some information about my problem.
Six months ago I made congressional inquiry about my pending AOS case at Washington DC office. I was informed by my congressman that my case was pending because of background security check and USCIS can only move forward after the security check has been completed. The letter also gave me a link to FBI website with information about name check process.
Last week I contacted the congressman again and now I got a letter that my case is pending administrative review. What does it mean??
Some people say it is just another name for name check/finger prints/IBIS.

it is horrifying that people get stuck in the same job for 8 years etc ( i noticed the PDs reported here are in 2000 ). Phew .
 
GC has become sour for me.... Any help/money/medicine should be timely - at the time of need... Alas, if it comes after hell lot of effort/pain... what value should i assign them to.

Congratulation Bellevue_Card. You deserve it a longtime back.

It is so painful to go thru this hell. This process and the people who have developed this process are the biggest pain for the mankind. I wish/pray that someone should make this process more smooth and transparent.
