GC Approval while on vaccation !!

Hello everyone

   What will happen if I were in India on vacation and my GC gets approved?.What is the procedure at the port of entry ? I am not working for the GC sponsorer now and have the option/intention to join him as soon as it gets approved . Please advice . Thank you

Not legal advise:
I think nothing will or should happen in POE if you enter with valid H1/H4 or AP/EAD.
If you are on H1 from the sponsor you are not working for, I am not sure but think it would be invalid.

You should report to work with your sponsor and get stamp with approval notice like any other AOS case.
 
Checked with Miami INS officer - Says No Problem

Same situation with my spouse. She is returning in March\'02. I checked with the INS officer at the time of my passport stamping in Dec01 and he said "No Problem". INS does not impose any restriction on how long after the applicant would go to stamping after the approval. You should be able to get in without any probs if you have an AP.
