I am just about to file for my 1-485. I am in love with a foreigner who is currently in the US and has overstayed her visa (more than 365 days). Can she get her papers adjusted if we get married and I file for her also.
 
filing 485 will not fix

the out of status. your fiancee is not eligible for 245(i). One way is to get married outside US and enter with your H or L visa 9as dependent).
You can apply for 485 and still continue to be in H or L visa.
