Hello,
I have two questions:
1. Which documentation I have to submit to extend GC? How long is the waiting time for that? Can I travel in the meantime?
2. Is true that by applying for US citizenship we have to give up the original one?

2) no, unless your "old" country demands that you give it up when you get new citizenship

You need to file form I-90 to renew your GC. It takes (+)(-) 6 months.

Not really. US doesnt make you give up your birth citizenship at all. However, inquiry with your local consulate if by obtaining a new citizenship you will lose your first one. Most of the countries allow you to have dual citizneship
