GC 5 Year anniversary

Hi folks,
My 5 year GC anniversary is on 10-Mar-07.
My FP is already scheduled on 03-Jan-07.
What is the normal time gap between FP and interview? What do I do if my interview date is scheduled before my GC 5 year anniversary?
Do I inform them to reschedule the interview or just attend the interview and inform at that time? In the second case will they call me back again for a second interview?
Also is it enough if I go thru the standard 144 civics questions available on USCIS website? Or do I need some extra preparation?
Thanks in advance for your valuable guidance.
BR2006.

BR2006,
My interview took place 4 days before my GC's 3rd anniversary. The issue never came up. You should not have an issue either. Apart from the booklet questions, just remember your two senators and your house representative.
Good luck!!!

Will there be no problem to attend the interview before compeltion of 5 years of GC.

This is not a problem.

The key date is the oath date, not the interview date.
The oath date (which is usually a few weeks after the interview) is when you become a U.S. citizen. So the oath must indeed be at least 5 years after the GC approval.
An interview may take place earlier and that is OK.

Interview should be in mid Feb.

Your Interview can be before 5 yrs. Your Oath must be after 5 yrs. You have to schedule for Oath after the Interview at the CIS office.

Actually, now I am less sure about this issue and may have to revise my previous opinion.

I looked up the CIS Adjudicator's Field Manual for considering N-400 applications:

http://imminfo.com/library/articles/articles-nats/nats-formn400.html

and

http://www.uscis.gov/propub/template.htm?view=document&doc_action=sethitdoc&doc_hit=1&doc_searchcontext=jump&s_context=jump&s_action=newSearch&s_method=applyFilter&s_fieldSearch=nxthomecollectionid|AFM&s_fieldSearch=foliodestination|chapter 74.2b&s_type=all&hash=0-0-0-1447

Here is what it says:

"Section 334 of the Act provides that an application for naturalization may be filed up to 3 months prior to the completion of the required period of residence for applicants filing under section 316(a) or 319(a). Even though applicants may file their applications up to three months early pursuant to section 334(a) of the Act, the statutory period must be fulfilled prior to the time of examination."

This suggests that by the time of the interview (examination) the 5 year anniversary of an LPR status must have passed. I wonder what the actual experiences of people faced with this problem are....
