Am applying for a green card through marriage

On the sponsors G325A form (the US citizen), are they submitting it in connection with an application for status as permanent resident? Or is that only for the person who is applying to get their status adjusted? (me, the F1 student)

When you are filing I-130, submit one G325A for the petitioner (your spouse), and one G325A for the applicant (yourself).
For I-485 submit one G325A for the applicant.
Do not ignore instructions, it's all very well explained in them.

Thanks for your responses. I asked if her form needs to be checked at the bottom where it says "This form is submitted in connection with an application for"

I know mine must be checked "Status as permanent resident"

Does hers as well??

She is not filing for adjustment of status. You are. Hers is submitted in connection with I-130. She should check "other" and write "petition for alien relative". You are submitting identical forms for each application, so you will check "other-petition for alien relative" on one for I-130 and "status of permanent resident" on the other for I-485. Even though you are filing concurrently, understand that I-130 and I-485 are different applications and you have to identify which of your evidence belongs to which application. You need to show that one is for i-130 and one is for I-485 etc

Whatever is required for I-130 is connected to I-130, what is required I-485 - is submitted in connection with I-485. Even when it's the same type of form.
