G-325A & Employment history?

Let's say a person is married to a US citizen, and is trying to have status changed.

On G-325A it asks for history of the last 5 year employment. Should he/she leave that section blank because he/she was employed without a work permit?

Have you heard of anyone being denied of adjustment of status because of employment without work permit?

Thanks

of course! Do not write if you were employed without work permit! It means that the records won't show that you've been working here. List all previous (legal!) jobs: in US or in your previous country. :) Don't let them have you in their records as an illegal worker! ;)

s**t

I wish I would have read this post earlier.

I was trying to do the right thing by being honest. I worked illegally in the US for a little while. I figured that since I got paid by a check by the company I was working for there would be a paper trail so it was best that I did not lie.

Am I now screwed??

Its always good to be honest. If you are married to a USC, I do not think you will have problems. I hope you paid your taxes.

taxes

Well, I tried to file my taxes but I got a letter stating something about my SS#. I don't remember what happened after that I think we just ignored it. So no I did not pay taxes but I did try to file.

Am I still in trouble?

be honest on your applications. Illegal employment and overstay are forgiven in the case of marriage to USC. However, lying on your application is not.
