hello people,

My parents are indian citizens with Indian passport. But they are currently in Mauritius on my dad's work/residence permit, since last 5 months and should be in Mauritius for some years now.

What should the City and Country of Residence on the G 325A?
Should it be Maurtius or Mumbai/India?

Appreciate some input.

If you never lived in Mauritius you should not enter that on your G-325A.

If you are filing for your parents, yes, you should enter Mauritius as they currently live there.

If he is filing for his parents he wouldn't have to fill out G-325A for himself.

I was talking about the G-325A his parents need to fill for the I-485. From his original post, it wasnt clear who was applying for immigration, him or his parents.

I am sorry for not being clear.
I am applying form I 130 for myself,whcih needs the G 325A.
In this form,it asks for the details of your parents "City and Country of Residence ".
I have never been to Mauritius.
But my parents are in Mauritius on a work permit and they I believe, they will be stayin there atleast for some years.

You're right, it wasn't clear. I just wanted him to know that if he is applying for his parents, ...

OK. Well, like Ari4u said, you should put Mauritius as your parents currently live there, especially that they are going to stay there for years.
Good luck!

You file your G-325A with information regarding where you lived, not where your parents lived/are living (I understand that you lived with your parents prior to coming to the US, so you should give the address you stayed with them). You dont live with your parent in Mauritius, so why the confusion? ;)

Ari,
"City and Country of Residence" on the G-325A applies to applicant's parents, not the applicant.

Apologies for being so dense. (Maybe its due to my jetlag :D) I misread the first post as the applicant's residence last five years (dont know why  )... Thanks Anahit for clearing that up.

tapskap, sorry for the confusion, Anahit is right, You should write Mauritus as your parents country of residence...

(I need more sleep...:o )
