G-28 required with address change

Hello-
I just moved to a different neighborhood in the same city and filed SR-11 for change of address. Now my attorney wants to file G-28 Notice of Appearance (and charge me for it) even though nothing else in my petition has changed. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is G-28 needed with a change of address?

A G-28 is required for a change of attorney, not address. Is your attorney new, or is this the same one?

If it's the same attorney, you may want to consider filing a G-28, providing information about your new attorney, one who won't waste your time or money filing frivolous documents.

According to my attorney, the AR-11 does not go to the Service Center and they need the G-28 so they mail correspondence to my new address and to my attorney as well...I don't know where else the AR-11 information goes but apparently not to VSC. Any ideas? I am also very tempted to file a G-28 for a really new attorney...

This is absolutely ridiculous, I would suggest that you change your attorney right away. G-28 is not required for AR-11. When I moved my lawyer told me to file a AR-11 form myself. Your lawyer is just trying to fleece money out of you. If I were you I would have nothing to do with a dishonest lawyer.
