Immigration-Law.com reports: Ever since the INS launched a procedure of security check for all the pending applications and petitions, the processing times noticeably slowed down. The INS informed the AILA that because of the security check, people should expect a delay of 30 days from the previous processing times.

The proceeding which sufferred most was EB-485 applications. As people must have noticed, the latest official processing time releases reflected that all the four Service Center for some reasons had not moved an inch in EB-485 processing. This stirred a speculation that the delay was caused by security check plus something else. The delay somehow coincided with the information that the INS adopted a zero tolerance policy.

Well, it appears, though, that EB-485 may start moving again. There is some symtom that it indeed started moving again. Let\'s wait and see the next monthly release of processing times by the Service Centers.

how long did other service centers stop?

how long it took the other service centers between the time they stopped approvals and the time they got back to it.
this could give some clues to how long TSC will remain inactive
