From N400 intrevew to Oath ?

Hello everyone!
Did anyone take N400 interview in Cleveland , OH?
How long to wait till the Oath ceremony?
I had my N400 interview in Cleveland. On the form the officer gave me she marked that i have passed the test but then the box , you have been recommended for approval was not checked. My lawyer said that it is becuase under the PATRIOT act or whtever the do a background check again one more time after the interview?
Is that true?

Can you post your timeline please? From what I have been reading on this forum, FBI does a name check separately from FP (background) check. Sometimes these checks are finished before the interview date and you get the "recommended for approval" checked. sometimes these checks take longer time and are not completed by the interview date (like yours). Nobody knows exactly how long the process takes.

I have exactly the same case , Officer only checked on "you have passed the civic and english test" I don't have a check on "you have been recommened for approval" either.
but she verbally told me that I should look forward for my oath letter in mail for Nov 4th oath ceremony . Apprently she didn't hand me over my oath letter right away(at my DO, ie Charlotte, NC ppl get their oath letters on the spot) b/c every n-400 application has to be approved by the supervisor and unfortunately supervisor was unavailble at that time.

Hi VERA979,
Can you please post your timeline?

Name check is done to see if your name matches any of the suspected (terrorists) name list in the CIA database. If there is a match then the background is checked with a microscope to eliminate spurious matches. I gathered this info from various forums.

name check = background check. it is different than the finger print

My wife had her interview in Cleveland in the beginning of August, and the oath will be on October 7.
