Hello,

I have a greencard for almost 5 years. I would like to apply for the citizenship soon. Is this process simple? Is it better/safer to do it through an attorney? I have an attorney that charge $750 to do it. Is it a fair price?
Let me know
Dan

you should be able to do it by yourself unless you want to waste usd 750.
people on the forum can help you do it if you have questions....

If you do not have a criminal record, you can do it by yourself and with the help of this forum + free resources

It takes 30 minutes to fill out the application by yourself. It will take you much longer to go to the attorney and fill it out with him.
However, if you like wasting money and time you are welcome to ask an attorney.

It's easy. Do it yourself. If you have never been in trouble with the law, you should be fine. Have you traveled a lot, and for long periods of time? If so, for how long, and how often? If not, then too you should have an easy process.
