Question for you guys:
My friend is on OPT from her undergrad (F1) and it expires on May 31st, 2011. She has been accepted to graduate school so she will become an F1 visa student again.
Her question is - her graduate program begins in September 2011. Does she have to leave the country after he current OPT expires (5/31) and come back in August/September 2011 on her new F1? or can she stay legally in the country during June, July, and August? If she has to leave: is there anything she can do to stay?
