From Central Asia to Canada

Hey everyone!

I am thinking of applying to Canadian PR from Central Asia where I am from originally. I searched the website and I think i have all the information I need, besides i just found this forum which is a great help. However, I have a question and I hope someone can tell me what to do or may be there are even people from Central Asia that moved to Canada.

Here you have to send the application with all the supporting documents to Moscow, as it is the only closest Canadian Embassy there. But the problem is that, according to their website in Moscow it takes up to 24 months which is such a long period for me. So my question is do I have to send it to Moscow, can i send it directly to canada instead? How long did it take your guys from all over the world? is 24 months normal??

Please advise???!!!

If you live under the jurisdiction of the Canadian embassy in Moscow, it has to go there, you cannot send it to Canada. There are some Canadian missions where case prosessing times are closer to 4 years, so 24 months is not that bad.

Ok Triple Citizen, thanks a lot for your reply. So does it really take so long or it depends on your luck and can be processes faster?
