Friends dilemma? When is good time to file for Citizenship?

The bottomline:

(1) This is not a big deal issue
(2) But delaying 90 days is not a big issue either.

So it make sense to follow Jackolantern's advice because of (2).
But it also make sensew to ignore Jackolantern and file right now because of (1)
I think the OP get the picture and let him decide. He can also make a tradeoff like filing not 90 days in advance
but 50 day in advance etc. It is alll up to him

It's also not impossible that you won't crash your car on the way to work, but that doesn't mean you should stop driving altogether.

I drive, but I wear my seat belt and don't drink and drive.

I didn't say the OP should forget about applying altogether. Apply, but take safety precaution of waiting 90 days.

But anyway, ultimately it is up the OP's friend to decide ... he will bear the consequences if any, not me or you.
