Friends 485 approved - family still pending

My friends 485 has been approved last week but his family\'s 485 is not.
Why is so? When should he expect the approval. Anyone with such
experience.

Spouse 485 NOT Approved

I\'m in a similar situation. My 485 ( CSC EB3, PD 10/97, RD/ND 09/99) was approved on Aug 21, but my wife\'s not been
approved yet. I filed while I was SINGLE and after marriage filed my wife\'s 485 six months later. I always thought her application would be bound to mine. We spoke to IIO last week and was told that her application is not even assigned to an officer yet.
Anyone in similar situation and how long it took for spouse/family approval ?

My son and I are approved whereas wife and daughter are still pending.
