Friend in Detenten, Needs Sponcer letter

I have a friend, who is at immigration detention center, Who was trying to come US illegally.

Now this friend needs a sponcer letter, before to show immigration judge.

Can any one advise me, what if i give him sponcer letter ?

Was he arrested with illegal entry or lying to an IO? Did he sign any document saying he did do that?

If so, a sponsorship will probably do no good--he will either win asylym in front of the judge on the merits of the case, or he will not.

But it can't hurt, and it shouldn't hurt you either. (I am not a lawyer, so take this advice carefully)

Actually he got here illegally by airport and the IO send him to immigration detention center, I think he sign some thing, I dont know because I did not went to see him.

He wants sponcer letter from him, because he says he will show to immigration judge so that they can release him on bonds.

Is that possible ?

If i give him sponcer, will be any problem to me, if he get release and never show up in court ? I mean i dont want to give him sponcer....but still i am asking...just quries..
