Fresh H1B, Consultants/Employers

Hi friends,
Those who misssed the quota last year,
its time to get fresh H1B filed again. 1st April is not very far.
I am sure that like me, there are many others who are finding it difficult to find an employer who can file H1B 6 months in advance.

Why not help each other. Can anyone send me a list of IT related consultants/employers who are ready to file H1B 6 months in advance. I have talked to NJ based Compunnel Software Group Inc. They are ready, but I am not sure about them. Any feedback about them?

All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
SSAH

Hi
Iam also on same boat - looking for new H1B.

One thing i noticed - despite being illegal and many forums shouting against it, all employers i contacted so far require us to pay the H1B charges. And forums are saying any employer asking cash/deposit for H1B should be a freaud.

SSAH - I contacted Compunnel too - and they r asking $2000 as "Security Deposit", which they say will be refunded after 2 months.

Anybody like to share experiences can also contact me at: h1bseeker@gmail.com

Everyone asks for money, 1500 or 2000. And thats ok I feel, because H1 costs around 3200 and if u run away, company loses this amount. And everyone promises to return this amount once you start working.
After hearing so much abt compunnel and seeing its name in the list of fraud companies on path2usa

I have decided not to take that risk. There are hundreds of other companies who can do H1Bs.
I think we should choose big companies with more number of offices and people, who have done more number of H1Bs in past. But again this is totally my opinion which may be wrong.
There is a company vtekh.com in chicago who claim that they r genuine and they will return H1B papers immidiately after processing. But I find the company too small and new to trust.
Even if the companies is good, we should keep in mind that it should be big enough to get us places. What if it is too good but doesnt have any project with your skill set?

There is a website
http://beta.h1b.info/lca_search.php?company=s2tech&city=&county=&state=&year=2005
which shows number of H1s done by the company in past. Ofcourse it shows only those companaies who accepted to declare this info. But still it gives good idea. I feel that if the company has done too many H1s in past, that means:
1. people trusted them
2. many people working with them
3. company is big
4. they have got many projects.

Also we can do a little research on google for finding more abt the company.
If it is realy bad then some website or other mentions it. Also I feel that we should be frank enough to ask the recruiter abt the H1B documents, billing rates etc.

Good Luck Friends,
ssah

There is one more site http://www.h1bmates.com where you can post your reviews and expereices of the company which sponsored H1B visa for you.
