frequent short trips abroad

Dear experts:

I am working on filling my N400 form and I am struggling a bit with the section requesting to document all trips longer than 24 hours outside the US taken during the past 5 years. My brother lives in Canada and I take frequent 2-3 days trips there. The problem I have is I do not remember all of these trips, let alone the dates. The total duration I cannot remember about should not exceed 20-30 days. I am wondering what would be the best way to handle this. I am listing as many trips as I remember, but it is difficult to remember all, like I said. Is there anybody else in the same boat or with an idea on what is the best way to explain this?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi dboca,

I was in a similar situation. My brother's family lives in Toronto and we went to see him almost every long weekend. And since we took car trips, there was no record on passport.
So, I looked at my old credit card receipts, my vacation days from office, talked to my brother and compiled a list of trips to Canada. On my N-400, in last 5 years, I had 31 trips totalling about 150 days. The interview officer didn't even raise a eyebrow. Infact, between filing of N-400 and my interview, I had one more trip. I just told the officer that I went to meet my brother and she was OK with that.
I had taken a few of my old credit card receipts to the interview just in case, but didn't have to show them.

Good luck!

I was in the Uk twice for three months each time - the INO didn't question it at all, just asked me to confirm it.
